Patience, that virtue
Watching the clock
Fending off
    Anxieties and fears
With blind trust
            Feigning an ongoing
    Attempt
        To separate
Church and state
            Idling on a
                Solemn promise
That sooner or later
Our life will no longer
            Have conflict
    Our love will thrive
And we will live
    As we should
Not how our demons dictate
            Together
                Life and death
Honest
Earned
and fulfilled
