Living in a bubble
With thee intended
    Love of my life
(who was to be the last)
Who’s now further away
        Than ever

Every effort
Every ounce of patience
And perseverance
    Dissolved ironically
In a flood of long sought
    Clear headed emotions

I am now damned
    By my own altruism
        And tenacious love

We almost had everything
           

        Almost.

But the nightmare will continue …

There was a rapture
    There was and is a usurper
Within his undeserved arms
        You now lay
    And lie
            The same lies
Laid on me
        As you lay with me

    The promise of a lifetime
“One thousand and ninety five years”
        Abolished with callousness
And complacence
            Over shadowed by
Anothers lust and passion
            And not held together
By the strength and logic of ours.
