Truth is born thusly
        From tired lies
Reality shines
            As everything ends

Becomes too real
I reach for the Bottle
In an ironic attempt
    To keep from drowning
Once it takes hold
    It doesn’t stop
Until the money is gone
Until night turns to day
    Until it all makes sense
Through the embittering haze
